People & Culture Advisor (Maternity Cover)

Guavapay is a global payment platform that drives payment optimization and stability. Guavapay’s full-stack payment ecosystem includes a range of technology products and solutions, such as the MyGuava app, including card processing, e-wallets, currency exchange, payments, transfers, top-ups, and much more.

As a People & Culture Officer at Guavapay, you will play a crucial role in helping to deliver core HR processes whilst supporting the cultivation of a positive organisational culture. Operating within the dynamic landscape of a global Fintech startup, you will work closely with the Head of People & Culture to maintain all aspects of departmental operations, provide efficient administration and ensure our people practices are compliant with industry regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

· Support talent acquisition processes, including interviewing, selection, offer management and

onboarding to attract and retain top talent.

· Assist in the coordination and administration of SMCR-related activities such as fitness & propriety,

regulatory references.

· Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure

compliance and efficiency.

· Support the delivery of the employee lifecycle, including induction, probation and performance

review coordination and offboarding.

· Provide administrative and operational support for People and Culture initiatives, wellbeing,

engagement and DEI activities.

· Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances and dispute

resolution

· Provide guidance and advice to line managers on people and employee relations matters to

foster a positive work environment.

· Assist with compiling and presenting HR data and reports

· Work alongside the Finance team to submit accurate, monthly payroll submissions.

· Ensure compliance with employment and FCA regulatory requirements, keep abreast of relevant legislation.

· Respond to internal and external inquiries or requests related to people and culture matters, providing assistance and support as needed.

· Assist with ad-hoc people and culture projects to drive continuous improvement and support organizational goals.

· Perform any other HR duties as required by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the organisation.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Personal Qualities:

· CIPD qualification (or willing to work towards)

· Experience in the Fintech and/or Finance sector (desirable).

· Interest and/or experience in a startup environment (desirable).

· Strong understanding of HR/People practices and procedures, preferably within a regulated

industry.

· Highly professional demeanor, with excellent communication skills and the ability to interact

confidently with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.

· Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic

work environment.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.

· Enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with the ability to work under own initiative.

· Flexible mindset and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

· Resilient and adaptable in the face of challenges.

· Respect for confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information, with a
