Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Specialist to join our team in Baku. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering accurate, insightful reports that support business decision-making and contribute to the overall success of GUAVAPAY. Your focus will be on analyzing sales, financial, and operational data to provide meaningful insights to senior management, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all reports, and maintaining strong reporting processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and ensure adherence to financial plans;
• Assist to monitor budget performance and provide timely reports to senior management;
• Assist in conducting thorough analysis of company expenditures, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements;
• Regularly review invoices and record them in ERP system;
• Regularly assess vendor performance and negotiate cost adjustments when necessary;
• Assist in preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including variance analysis and cost trend assessments;
• Assist in financial forecasting and modeling to support long-term financial planning;
• Assist on ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies;
• Collaborate with the compliance team to implement and monitor financial controls.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA is a plus;
• ACCA, CIMA or similar certification is an advantage;
• Proven experience as a Cost Control Specialist or similar role in the fintech or financial services industry;
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost management;
• Fluent Azerbaijani, English language skills and Russian is desirable.
